  -[ Gift Aid

>Back

When parishioners or other members of the congregation make donations to the Cathedral, the amount donated includes an element of tax which is normally retained by the Inland Revenue. The Gift Aid Scheme allows the Diocese to reclaim this tax amount as long as the donation was made by an individual who pays Income Tax.

If you would like your donations to be covered by the Gift Aid Scheme, all that is required is for you to sign a Gift Aid declaration, stating that you want the Diocese to treat all your donations as Gift Aid donations and reclaim tax accordingly.

Donations can be made weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually and there is no lower limit on the size of any one-off donations. The Cathedral will keep a record of all payments that you makde and, after the Diocese has reclaimed the tax, it will then be credited to the Cathedral.
