St Thomas Window

It shows Saint Thomas the Apostle in the centre light: he holds a book in one hand and a spear in the other - an allusion to his martyrdom by stoning and being run through with a spear. Below him is the figure of Thomas Pattison kneeling before a crucifix with a Latin inscription meaning 'Lord, have mercy'.

On the left the unbelieving Thomas places his hand in the Lord's side and below an angel holds a scroll bearing the words 'Be not faithless but believing'.

On the right Thomas is kneeling before the Lord and above his head are the words 'Domine meus et Deus meus' [My Lord and my God]. Underneath is an angel holding a scroll with the words 'Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed'.
