News from the Mercy Hub… 
Yvette writes:

"Newcastle West End Foodbank helps local people in crisis by providing emergency food in order to help combat poverty and hunger in our community. I know you have given generously to this very important cause in the past and are familiar with how well received your donations are. We plan to resume collections on the last Sunday of every month, commencing on Sunday 28 January. Collection bags will once again be located in their usual place in the Cathedral, by the information desk. The main items requested are: 

  • TEA BAGS
  • COFFEE (INSTANT) 
  • SUGAR (500G)
  • CEREAL 
  • PASTA
  • PASTA SAUCE 
  • MILK (UHT OR POWDERED)
  • FRUIT JUICE (LONG LIFE) 
  • TINNED TOMATOES
  • TINNED VEGETABLES 
  • TINNED FISH
  • TINNED MEAT 
  • BISCUITS & SNACK BARS
  • TINNED RICE PUDDING 
  • RICE
  • TINNED FRUIT
