The Bishops of England and Wales have decided that from September 2011 the Order of Mass in the new translation will be used in parishes in England and Wales.     A series of one day sessions inviting members of the laity to look at the new translation of the Roman Missal has been arranged during the coming months. The sessions are particularly intended for people who are involved in ministries, including Eucharistic Ministers, Catechists and Readers, but all members of the laity are welcome to attend. The sessions will take place from 10.30am - 3.30pm on the following Saturdays:

    • 7 May - St Patrick's, Consett
    • 21 May - St Michael's, Houghton le Spring
    • 11 June - St Augustine's, Darlington
    • 25 June - St Joseph's, Gateshead
    • 16 July - St Joseph's, Hartlepool

He returned to work part time to undertake specialist tasks for Northumberland Health Care Trusts. Requiescat in pace. Bishop Lindsay's body will be received into St Mary's Cathedral on Sunday 1st February 2009 at 6.30 pm and Mass will be celebrated. There will be a vigil of quiet prayer which will end with Compline at 8.30 pm. Bishop Lindsay's Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday 2nd February 2009 at the Cathedral, immediately followed by burial in the Cathedral Crypt. The Mass on Sunday evening, Compline and the Requiem Mass are open to all who may wish to attend.
