NEWS AND EVENTS:

ANNUAL DAY OF REFLECTION
An Annual Day of Reflection for Eucharistic Ministers and Readers will take place on Saturday 11 May from 11.00am - 3.30pm in St Cuthbert’s Primary School Hall, Balmain Road, Kenton. The day will be led by Fr Eamonn Mulcahy CSSP and will follow the theme of ‘Responding to the Call of Pope Francis’ which will focus on ‘Missionary Disciples, in a missionary parish for a missionary church’. For further information, telephone: 0191 2841690. A collection will be taken on the day and people are advised to take along a packed lunch.

PARTNERSHIP MASS TIMES
Although the Cathedral Mass times are unchanged, some of the Mass times across the Partnership have recently changed. There are information sheets on display at the back of the church with a list of the revised times.
NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS
A Meditation in Song and Pictures on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by David Ritson will take place in St Charles , Gosforth on Tuesday 21st May at 7.00pm. There will be an opportunity afterwards to purchase CDs priced at £5.00 in aid of the ‘St Joseph the Worker Foundation’ in Medjugorie.
SPACE FOR GRACE
Space for Grace for Pentecost is an event which will take place on Saturday 8 June from 10.00am - 3.00pm in St. Robert’s Church, Cedar Road, Fenham. The seven hour session will include liturgies, music, prayer and liturgical dance. All are welcome.
CATHEDRAL BOOK CLUB
The Cathedral Book Club will meet at 4.30pm in the Pauline Books and Media on Tuesday 14th May when the book to be discussed is Oscar Romero, Prophet of Hope by Roberto Morozzo Della Rocca and will meet again on Tuesday 9th July to discuss The Vicar of Baghdad - Faith under Fire by Andrew White. Both of these books will be available to purchase from the Book Centre. New members are always welcome.

Our Partnership dean is Fr Shaun O’Neill and our Parish representative on the Partnership Development Group is Nigel Lightfoot.
